We are at the very beginning of building a sustainable world for our kids and it's not easy otherwise it would be already done.
This website is all about making sustainable challenges and solutions more visible and accessible to all, to create more demand for positive practices and lifestyles, engage with resilience and transition in Tampere and the Pirkanmaa region.
Living conditions in Tampere and around are amazing, that's for sure. But when it comes to sustainability, even if a lot is already ongoing regarding the infrastructure, Tampere and Pirkanmaa region are not at the forefront of sustainable lifestyles and practices yet. Yes, we have clean air, fresh and pure water, and the forest very accessible but still, there is a lot to do to make Tampere a real sustainable city with shared resources, circular economy, urban gardening, farmers markets, affordable healthy food, sustainable skills hubs, reduce waste, and much more.
This site intends to be a hub to connect people, consumers, thinkers, farmers, scientist, artists, entrepreneurs, students, families or chess players around sustainable and local solutions to raise awareness about sustainable challenges, options and solutions, to connect people, inform and inspire actions.
To define impact and sustainability, there are many approaches, ways, ideas and amazing existing proven solutions. I'm aware of that and I'm happy to organize events and contribute to a better understanding. I believe that sustainability is vital and I'm participating to sustainable actions since 15 years now through my personal and professional life.
