Meeting with Jukka Peltokoski: how can a city change?

It is no mystery that threats on the environment put agriculture, and therefor, people’s self-sufficiency at risk. In Tampere, the food supply chain relies a lot on imported food. But the food system is only one example of dependency because it is actually the entire system that is more or less very centralized. This made maybe sense in the past but in future, local empowerment of communities is one of the keys.

There are many attempts currently happening in Finland to question the future of cities. In this discussion, Jukka Peltokoski, activtist and social environmentalist, introduces the Doughnut Economies as spread by Kate Raworth.

With Jukka, we can learn more about how to build a better society based on local resources through doughnut economics model and municipalism.
