It’s serious guys, it’s earth strike week from Sept. 20th to Sept. 27th.
Strike has a long history for humans. Since the industrial age, every time we want to change things, strike is the powerful tool. As long as you are in the race, no matter what you say, people around may listen but hey, it’s a race, let’s continue running. The minute you stop, something happens. It can become a peaceful dialogue, a Spring, a riot, a Gilets Jaunes movement, depends on people’s.
Grown-ups are now invited to join the global Earth Strike this week.
Last March, 1.5 million children and young people took part in the international climate strike. They are worried about their future and are striving for climate change. It’s extremely difficult to grow up in a world that is collapsing so let’s talk, let’s meet, come all day or come for 1 hour.
In Tampere, it’s happening on Keskustori at 10am. More info here.
In Helsinki: Friday 27th September from 10 am to 2 pm, people will gather together with the young people to demand climate action from Parliament. More info here.

Together we demand that:
Finland is fulfilling its intention to be the world’s first fossil-free welfare state.
Finland undertakes to update the Climate Act so that its emission reduction and carbon sink targets are in line with the 1.5 ° C warming limit.
Direct and indirect subsidies for fossil fuels must be abolished.
The transition to a fossil-free society must be done well.
