On Saturday Aug 29th, the students association Tampiiri is offering you to meet at the beautiful Kurki Ecovillagein Vesilahti between 11 and 14.
The place is accessible with bus 55 from Keskustori, Tampere.
As you may know Tampiiri is a great association meant to promote organic food at Tampere Uni. This association is a great tool to organize events about local and healthy food systems. But to make it happen, it requires a motivated team of students willing to make a change. If you feel the call, if you feel you could be a change maker at your university for more awareness about good food, please join us next Saturday to explore the future of Tampiiri.
Between 11 and 14, we will also meet with the villagers and explore their beautiful permaculture gardens, meet with volunteers and pick some mushrooms in the forest nearby. The village has a Summer cafeteria for coffee, pulla, cakes (mostly organic, vegan and with / without gluten). Please bring cash with you.
Your booking is absolutely needed so please confirm before Wed 26th to: evawissenz (at) gmail.com.
Ordering organic food via Tietäväinen Foods (www.tietavainen.fi) is still possible once a month through Tampiiri, Tietäväinen will use the association mailing list to inform about the ordering period and pick-up days (note that the pick-up has been changed from Tuesday to Thursday). If you have any questions about ordering through Tietäväinen (or anything else), please contact us through ruokapiiri (at) lists.tuni.fi.
Update: Tampiiri’s association stopped in 2020.
