What about food waste?

What new ideas, actions and tools have been developed to reduce food waste? How is the goal of halving the loss progressing? How could different actors in the food chain support households in reducing waste?

A joint annual waste seminar for the entire food chain answers these questions, among other things, and brings together industry players to share the best insights for the benefit of the entire chain. The loss webinar will be broadcast live from Ässäkeskus on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 from 9:00 to 12:00.

In the webinar, Antro Säilä, CEO of the Finnish Packaging Association, explains how packaging contributes to reducing food waste. A more detailed program of the webinar will be published later.

The webinar is co-organized by the Confederation of Finnish Agricultural and Forestry Producers, the Confederation of Finnish Food Industries, the Finnish Grocery Trade Association, the Tourism and Restaurant Services Mara Association, the Finnish Packaging Association, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and Motiva.
