Solar Fire Concentration is an engineering company created in Tampere in 2012, doing solar thermal development through humanitarian projects with GoSol.solar.
After years of development, 3 great events happened since the beginning of 2020 and it’s worth sharing here as these last 6 months have been very challenging for SME’s.
1) In Switzerland, Eerik Wissenz and Urs Riggenbach were invited to a contest by Heuberge Resort last January.
Aware that the global warming has already a heavy impact on their business, the resort’s owners, a Swiss-Finnish couple, organized a contest with top environmentalists to find how to attract clients based on more sustainable tourism.
Eerik and Urs won the contest with the solar sauna concept. The first prototype was built a month later.
Several prototypes after, the sauna was recently featured in Helsinki Sanomat and many Swiss media’s. Our work also recently received the direct support of the city of Solothurn.
2) In France, our CTO is now baking 100kg of organic bread per day using the Lytefire 5 solar oven. It’s an entirely new business model based on decentralized energy that is rising there!!
We are willing to support the creation of the solar bakery in Burkina-Faso. We are almost there with our crowdfunding campaign. If you can share and support, thanks a lot in advance!
3) In Finland, to be more aligned with our ecological values, we have moved our office outside Tampere. We are now nearby Vesilahti, in the beautiful Kurki Eko Village.
The village is a tiny melting-pot and it’s such a great vibe for international entrepreneurs like us. They have an European program with foreigners and they are part of the Global Eco-villages Network.
If you’re interested in sustainable lifestyles, eco-building, organic food, permaculture and circular economy, come and meet some of us! During Summer time, there is an open cafeteria every Saturday from 11am to 2pm. The place is reachable with bus 55.
