Today is the launch of Tampere In2Food, Resolving a Societal Challenge: Interdisciplinary Approach Towards Fostering Collaborative Innovation in Food Waste Management.
In collaboration with European and Indonesian actors, the project will create and develop interdisciplinary courses, research centers and a master’s program for food loss reduction for Indonesian partner universities. Researchers from the Wastebusters research group are involved in bringing scientific information on food waste to the project. The project will provide the research team with significant social impact at the international level, as Indonesia is one of the largest food waste countries in the world.
The project is funded by the EU’s Erasmus + Capacity Building for Higher Education program. The project involves a total of eight universities: three from the EU and five from Indonesia.
