The Pirkanmaa region is organizing an Ekothon in October and if you’re interested you’d better register by Sept. 18th (limited spots).
What’s an Ekothon? It’s an "online collaborative hackthon-type event to steer Pirkanmaa towards ecological and social transition. The event is open to everyone, from the small business owner to the politician, from the artist to the scientist, from the farmer to the town planner."
Our Pirkanmaa region has many sustainable solutions and ideas to make the world ecologically and socially sustainable, fair and just. But we know that we need to transition to a different model.
To make a sustainable transition really happen, a synergy is needed and that’s the reason of the Ekothon. With the help of facilitators, the co-creation will be organized in 4 groups focused on:
Food - Transportation - Transformation of work - Happy living
The aim of the Ekothon is to bring the solutions from companies to municipalities and to understand how everyone of us is part of the solution. Ekothon will spark dialogue and collaboration between all citizens. We want to build trust and understanding between different sectors, organizations and people, to inspire action.
Date: all participants need to dedicate 1st and 2nd October, 9.00-14.00.
Ekothon is happening in Finnish and English. It will have a maximum of 80 participants. Be one of the firsts and book your place here: www.lyyti.in/Ekothon.
