If you’re an emigrant here in Tampere coming from South Europe, Middle East, Asia, Africa, South America, Canada, USA, well any place except Switzerland and Scandinavia (with all respect), I’m sure you are sensitive to the uniformity of the urban space. Compared to other small - medium - biiig cities, Tampere is neat, very, and clean, very.
So, what a tremendous joy to discover something DIFFERENT, finally.
And here you are with Pyynikin aikamatkat, a wasteland near by the mini-golf. It was the city hospital there before and now it’s a free and open space for spontaneous creation and peaceful chill. You can come and garden, have a tea, meet a weird time travel machine, be creative as much as you wish and even use the studio installed for anyone willing to be a painter for an hour.
Now sit down.
It’s free.
Yes.
Go (before ugly buildings builders remove this urban treasure from the map).
It’s open most of the time. There is a FB page, and a nice motivated guy tacking care of the place.
(Thanks Janna for showing me the place for the first time!)
