The aim of the Wild&Cuisine project is to revive the old Finnish and European cultural heritage and to make people love free edible wild plants in their vicinity. It teaches the use of these ubiquitous edible wild plants while increasing people’s well-being, survival skills and respect for their immediate nature.
All kinds of wild food-related events are planned, such as free lectures, food festivals, and a low-threshold Local Wild Food Challenge, which will be held in collaboration (…)

Foodies, this one is for you!
18 August 2020, by Eva WissenzTired of tasteless veggies imported from all over the world? Of course.
The Finnish summer is there to reload us, especially at Tammelantori market where Rekola’s farmer is selling super tasty veggies every Friday and Saturdays, 9-13.
It’s fresh, organic and even biodynamic. And you wish to support even more local agriculture, this farm has a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) where you can buy weekly baskets for the whole season (more info here). There are 4 or 5 picking points in (…) -

That week will be a global climate strike week so why not meet to discuss, reload and share about sustainability.
Pala café is a good place to meet because it’s downtown (…) -
Starting an organic and local food group in 2020
18 September 2019, by Eva WissenzRekola organic farm is ready to deliver organic biodynamic vegetables weekly when we are enough people interested
We were not enough to start in Autumn 2019 but if we’re enough, it could start in July 2020 with a delivery point in Tampere. This delivery point could be Tribe, close to Torni hotel.
At the moment we are 3 families, 3 couples and 3 individuals. All together it’s already more than 25kg of veggies to be delivered each week. We need to reach 50kg / week in order to make it (…) -

He’s back :)
18 August 2020, by Eva WissenzAs an (half) Italian emigrate here in Tampere, you have to chose when it comes to pizzeria: or go rogue and forget even the tiniest memory of what a good pizza tastes like and go with the flow, eat over fat, over greasy, over everything crap presented as "pizza" (including ananas/makkara topping), or go DIY, make no friends and basta.
And one day, you hear about a dude, a Brit, with a truck, offering pizza’s, with lots of ORGANIC ingredients.
Hmmm - seriously?
Because now you lived in (…) -
Good organic bread in town
3 September 2021, by Eva WissenzI love good bread, don’t you?
Maybe it’s my French side. Or my Italian one. Whatever, I love good bread.
But finding good organic bread in Tampere has been mission impossible since a little while.
By good I mean: crispy but soft at the same time, with different options, and that can stay in good condition for more than 24 hours.
During the summer, near Turku, I discovered "Livonsaaren leipomo" (Livonsaari bakery) and their breads are absolutely delicious, especially the "maalaisleipa" (…) -
Meet the Good Guys in Tampere
25 October 2019, by Eva WissenzI’m sure you have noticed that Kombucha beverages are very trendy... why that?
Kombucha is a bacteria that has been used for thousands of years in all Asia and Russia. It is known for supporting good gut health, which is our "second brain". It’s mixed with flavoured teas or water to create very tasty beverages.
The Good Guys is a Tampere based brewery focused on a organic, raw, and unpasteurized kombucha. And more than this, they have a strong community spirit and inspire you guys to (…) -
