Back from the market. Just an example of a good organic harvest :-) Weekly veggies for a family of 5. There is a lot, it will last 10 days.
2 thym - 1 parsley - 1kg tomatoes - 2kg potatoes - 1 bunch of carrots - 2 salads - 6 zucchini’s - 6 oignons - 2 garlic - 2 leeks - 500g green beans - 1/2 litra mushrooms - 6 beetroot’s - 1 big bunch of kale
All this to cook salty veggies pies, pasta with beans, soups with the carrots leaves or leaks, rice with mushrooms, garlic, parsley and (…)

We were not enough to start in Autumn 2019 but if we’re enough, it could start in July 2020 with a delivery point in Tampere. This delivery point could be Tribe, close to Torni hotel.
At the moment we are 3 families, 3 couples and 3 individuals. All together it’s already more than 25kg of veggies to be delivered each week. We need to reach 50kg / week in order to make it (…) -

Aloitamme nyt ensi kertaa Tampereen seudulle tuoreleipiemme toimitukset. Jälleenmyyjänä toimii kauppahallin vihannespuoti Vallius, josta voi jatkossa myös tilata etukäteen tuotteita. Toimituspäivä on aina perjantain. Leipien lisäksi saatavilla on meidän siemennäkkäreitä ja marenkeja.

Good organic bread in town

Maybe it’s my French side. Or my Italian one. Whatever, I love good bread.
But finding good organic bread in Tampere has been mission impossible since a little while.
By good I mean: crispy but soft at the same time, with different options, and that can stay in good condition for more than 24 hours.
During the summer, near Turku, I discovered "Livonsaaren leipomo" (Livonsaari bakery) and their breads are absolutely delicious, especially the "maalaisleipa" (…) -

Sustainable lunch at TAMK: continuing launching the Sustainability and Impact Club
2 December 2019, by Eva WissenzI’m very happy to announce that the sustainable lunch is evolving and continuing next week at the University campus in town.
Last week, Tampere Universities community welcomed a first lunch at Y-Kampus / TAMK with the support of the Continuous Learning dpt. But since students come and go, it’s hard to plan full lunches and we want to avoid waste, so starting from now, the lunches are becoming coffee, tea and delicious veggie snacks prepared by local and organic chef!!

2d Sustainable Fellow’s lunch

Some of us are new with sustainability and some of us are not, but we all agreed that it’s vital for us to take action.
During these lunches, with kindness and good will, we focus on sharing challenges related to sustainability in our working environment.

And one day, you hear about a dude, a Brit, with a truck, offering pizza’s, with lots of ORGANIC ingredients.
