In the heart of Tampere Seele is offering a beautiful selection of Finnish organic clothing, as locally produced as possible. It can be expensive but it definitely last longer.
For lovers of Finnish design, Miela (picture) is a shop hosting about 20-30 local brands, some of them being 100% organic. It’s all about clothing but also beautiful notebooks, jewels and accessories.

Planning for more mökki time or outdoor holidays in Finland? It’s wise to support local quality.
26 May 2020, by Eva WissenzThanks a lot Marcus Grunewald for your great article introducing great family businesses and impact entrepreneurs of Finland!!
As the Corona crisis demonstrated, international supply chains are fragile. Therefore, it makes sense to nourish the local businesses and the people behind them - even though this might mean paying a higher price for the products and services compared to imports from the Far East. Because in the long run sustainability also means that your neighbour has a place to (…) -

Luontoystävällistä mökkeilyä
13 June 2021, by Eva WissenzVinkkejä Amanda Pokkilta... (Sustainability and impact club)
Suomi on yli puolen miljoonan mökin maa. -

Tampere, a city towards sustainability
9 September 2019, by Eva WissenzIt’s true that living conditions in Tampere are amazing. We have clean air, fresh and pure water, and the forest very accessible. But still, there is a lot to do to make Tampere a real sustainable city with shared resources, circular economy, urban gardening, farmers markets, affordable healthy food, shared economy, sustainable skills hubs and much more.
At the moment, the main efforts are on infrastructure (see below) and business (Smart Tampere). It's great, it's a starting (…) -
How to be more sustainable in Tampere?
