Nice tips from Visit Tampere’s team
9 September 2019, by Eva WissenzTampere is known as a city of hard work and very social past (social in the sense of cooperative and orientated towards the well-being of all). It’s also a city where lots of Finns would love to live because it’s not too big, not too small, quiet, exciting and surrounded by nature.
I’d love Tampere to be know as a real sustainable city I must say... :-) Cool things are happening at the moment elsewhere in Finland and we could take inspiration.
For now, Visit Tampere’s team is suggesting (…) -

We are closing doors but we aren’t closing down.
17 March 2020, by Eva WissenzFriends,
We are asked to stay home, keep our distance and be cautious.
In Finland, the people and the government are very reasonable, decades of crazy capitalism haven’t washed away their concern about the common good and the way they care. I’ve learned from my 8 years in Finland, that although Finns could seem a bit cold at times, they do care. From this country, from this space of safety in a tense and uncertain global context, I send all my best energy and courage to you my friends. (…) -

Kohti ekologisempaa joulua!
7 December 2020, by Eva WissenzVinkkejä Amanda Pokkilta (Sustainability and impact club)
Miksi joulusta on (…) -
Luontoystävällistä mökkeilyä
13 June 2021, by Eva WissenzVinkkejä Amanda Pokkilta... (Sustainability and impact club)
Suomi on yli puolen miljoonan mökin maa. -
Beauty and well-being
12 September 2019, by Eva WissenzIn a few years, organic products have become more mainstream and can be found in many places like Sokos, Stockman, Prisma... Make sure to check well the compositions of the products and remember that "natural" doesn’t necessarily means "organic".
All these cosmetics are imported from France, Sweden, Latvia, Germany... As far as I know, only Frantsila is offering organic cosmetics made in Finland in their Hämeenkyrö’s farms.
Downtown Tampere, Ruohonjuuri is the place to get proper advises (…) -
