    Tervetuloa mukaan kaikille avoimeen Eco-Impact -iltaan, jossa keskustelemme vaatteista, pukeutumisesta ja vaatekaapin kestävyydestä. Voit tulla kuulolle tai osallistua keskusteluun.
    Keskustelun inspiraatioksi aihetta alustaa vaatesuunnittelija ja taiteen maisteri Nanna Nurmala Taito-Pirkanmaa ry:stä ja keskustelua fasilitoi Sanna Teinilä Ekokumppaneilta.
    Keskustelutilaisuus on tiistaina 23.11.2021 klo 17.00-18.00 pääkirjasto Metson kirjastosalin lavalla.

    1. Biomassan ja turpeen polton tunnustamista ilmastolle ja luonnon monimuotoisuudelle haitalliseksi energian tuotantotavaksi. Tampereen sähkölaitoksen ja kaupungin oma harhaanjohtava mainonta energiantuotannon kestävyydestä tulee lopettaa.

    The changes in the climate and the desire for a more sustainable lifestyle are raising so many questions about food!
    Join us to share and (maybe) learn about local production, farmers, shared garden and also... supermarkets since this is where we all go.
    Marko Simunaniemi from Kajo Ravintola will join us to share his passion about good local products.

    This year, the Tammelantori Environmental Market welcome you to enjoy the warm atmosphere of the Environmental Market with live music.
    It’s a friendly event and a cool opportunity to meet like minded people.
    The live music is happening at 16:00.

  • Waste reduction week: a conference and a few tips

    This Friday, a nice conference is organized with the writerOtso Sillanaukee who’s promoting a frugal lifestyle without waste (and then no need to recycle anything!). He’s sharing the mic with Maija Lumme, Corporate Responsibility Specialist at Pro Ethical Trade Finland (Eettisen kaupan puolesta ry) and Risto Isomäki, journalist, activist and writer.

    In Nokia, this week Papu has a Pop Up shop open this week on Friday Sept 20th, 12-19, and Saturday Sept. 21th, klo 10-16. The address is Pirkkalaistori 1. Old models, super discount and great garments to find!
    Papu is a Finnish organic clothing brand. They are sharing openly about their sustainable practices, results and impact.

    They are holding an event will hold an information event on Tuesday 21.1.2020 at 17.15-19.00 in the Laikun Music Hall in Tampere to discuss the restoration of mires and hear the latest climate news from the conservation expert Hanna Ahola.
    Tero Mustonen, a member of the UN Climate Panel, will also attend through Skype.

  • Meditation for Changemakers

    All the people I know actively involved in sustainability are overwhelmed and stressed but mysteriously loaded with good energy and enthusiasm.
    On this road, meditation is an amazing tool to relax and re-harmonize deeply. I haven’t followed any meditation session led by Roshnii Yuta Chou yet but she’s part of the Changemakers network (more soon) and she’s very motivated to contribute to a more sustainable lifestyle.
